We can’t speak highly enough of the James Bro's team. When we engaged James Bros our architect outlined the minimal build time would be at least 12 month, this was based on building similar houses over a number of years. Brady and his team took this on as a challenge and within the first two months we were 3 weeks ahead of our project plan. Getting out of the ground quickly ensured Brady and his team stayed ahead of the game throughout the build process. The build started in April-14 and we were in by Feburary-15.

Based on a competitive tender process we found that James Bros priced competitively but equally importantly we found them to be flexible on the structure of contract. 

From the outset, the communication was fantastic; I would speak with Brady at least two to three times a week outside the regular weekly site meetings. Importantly Brady was extremely proactive and always front footing any potential issues that needed our input.

The work ethic from the whole team was amazing, there was nothing thrown at them that they couldn't resolve  (they turned up every day regardless of the weather). The quality of the workmanship and work ethic was demonstrated by the fact that that the majority of our neighbours in the street all wanted to book James Bros post our build.   

The overriding aspect of the job was their pride in workmanship and total commitment to customer satisfaction. We have no hesitation in recommending the James Bros team. If you want a job done to the highest standard at a fair price then you can’t go past James Bros.

Brady not only built our holiday home in the Coromandel but he project managed the build as well. This was extremely helpful for us as we lived in Auckland and therefore felt that the stresses of all the organisation was taken off us and in turn capably done by Brady. We found him to be extremely reliable and competent. As this was our first experience building we also found him to be open and honest when it came to giving advice on the design and concept of the house.

Brady and his team did a fantastic job of building our bach in Whangapoua. Willie James built two houses for me in late 2010 and I was extremely pleased with the results. I had met Willie a few months earlier when I had two competent but tired builders already building for me. At Willies suggestion I designed the houses with his input and then had his draughtsman take the plans to consent stage. From there he organised subcontractors and was always thinking of ways to streamline, speed up or economise the process. He and another builder he engaged completed two 130 m2 houses on a sloping site in Titirangi in less than 6 months.

I spent a lot of time on site and was the labourer and runabout, a role I was happy to play as it kept costs down. Willie was great to work with; fun, competent, efficient and helpful. Nothing was a problem and his positive attitude saw all hiccups as challenges to enjoy. ​I would have no hesitation in recommending Willie for projects of any size.

Willie James built a property for us in Whangapoua on the Coromandel. This was the first house we have built and we could not have been more pleased with the final outcome. The property was situated a considerable distance from our place of residence and therefore it was important that we found someone we could trust with all aspects of the build. Willie was able to provide that for us and completed the build ensuring our new place was everything we had ​​envisioned.​​​​
